In the late afternoon, a walk around the nature trail behind the Park is a great way to experience the wildlife and open spaces that outback Queensland has to offer, plus it’s only a 100 metre stroll to the waters of the Julia Creek itself, for a bit of fishing.

The Park is within walking distance to the town centre, swimming pool, indoor sports centre and the award winning, Julia Creek Visitor Information Centre.

If you’re there from April to September, do not miss the Monday night Bush Dinners. These $15 meals are brought to you by the local Not-For-Profit Groups who cater a hearty 2 course outback meal. Whilst you’re tucking into your dinner, a local character presents on their daily lives of living and working in the outback.
